older Kenmore washer

Hi, I have an older Sears Kenmore and the hot water works great, but the cold water won't work. I've tried shutting off the valves coming into the washer and turning them back on but so far it's hot water only. Any ideas?? Might not be worth the money to fix it.
thanks, c

I would be happy to look into this for you, buit all posts require the model number on the machine. Yours begins with 110. followed by 8 more numbers. Then we can look at what you will need to repair the machine as cheaply as possible.

At the most, you'll spend $25 on a new water valve...a bit cheaper than a new machine :)

The valve is part 285805 on my main website and you may order it HERE.

All thats needed to replace the valve is to remove the outer cabinet, a 5-minute procedure.
